A series not exactly famed for its narratives, Bandai Namco has today put out a new Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon trailer all about the upcoming PS5, PS4 game's story. It's a very stylish and flashy look at what will almost certainly take a backseat in the final version — think audio logs and quick cutscenes — as Armored Core 621 looks to be brought back from the dead.
The game launches for PS5 and PS4 on 25th August 2023, and we came away impressed from a hands-off session at Summer Game Fest in June. «The freeing nature of the game's flight capabilities tied with what looks like fun combat gives the experience fantastic foundations to work from. The proof will be in the pudding, but as well as becoming the franchise's best-selling instalment to date, Fires of Rubicon could warrant those purchases on its quality alone. It's difficult to envision any situation where Armored Core 6 isn't considered a resounding success.»
