Later this year, SEGA is set to launch a brand new Sonic the Hedgehog game — one that combines an old-school feel with modern, 2.5D presentation. Sonic Superstars shows a lot of promise, and was pretty good fun in our brief hands-on time back in June, but there's still a lot about the game that's unknown. Enter Game Informer, which is focusing on this side-scrolling co-op platformer for its next major cover story.
The publication says it spent two days at Sonic Team's premises in California, playing through «nearly half the game» in order to produce a huge preview for its next issue. In addition to this will be its usual drip-feed of other information, which usually involves short interviews, gameplay snippets, and other interesting details.
If you're curious about Sonic Superstars in the run up to its launch later this year, it'll be worth keeping an eye on Game Informer over the next few weeks.

We'll just see how ''good'' this ends up being… I'm willing to bet it's either underwhelming, mediocre or just okay. It definitely won't be more than that, though. It's still a Sonic game after all.
