Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Custom PS5 Have Sold Out!

Plenty of things in life don’t surprise people, as we can often predict things before they happen. In the video game space, we can often tell that a video game will do well or be received well enough due to the hype around the title or the recent history of the developer. Case in point, the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 by Insomniac Games is likely to not only be a great title but a Game of the Year contender and sell many millions on PS5. Another prediction that was easy to make was the success of the custom PS5 for the title.

You might have seen our post late last week where the custom PS5 had officially gone up for Pre-Order on PS Direct and that you had to be quick to get the system for yourself. Turns out, you had to REALLY be quick, as many state the console sold out in minutes.

Plus, as the tweet notes, Insomniac Games is not likely to restock the system, so those who have been able to get it are a lucky bunch indeed. Why was it easy to predict that this version of the PS5 would sell out so quickly? Simply put, there’s a ton of hype around the game, not to mention, the PS5 isn’t in the hands of all gamers just yet. Only recently did it reach 40 million units sold. So plenty still needed to get the system, and would’ve taken advantage of the offer to get the system, a custom controller, and a digital voucher for the video game for when it releases in October.

Not to mention, it’s a really cool-looking console! One does not simply let systems like these go to waste.

Regardless, this is a big win for Insomniac Games, and it’ll help raise the hype even more for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
