As teased earlier in the week, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is getting an unexpected second Character Pass – despite the game originally releasing over three years ago! The DLC drop will consist of three packs in total, adding an impressive nine new characters to the game.
It’ll all get underway in September with The Battle of Onigashima Pack, which will include Onigashima Battle Luffy and two other unannounced characters. A further two packs will subsequently deploy, each with three characters apiece. And if that’s not enough, anyone who purchases the new Character Pass will get the Onigashima Battle costume for Trafalgar D. Water Law.
It’s unusual for a game to get so much post-release content this far removed from release, but publisher Bandai Namco must be seeing continued engagement with the game, thus justifying the ongoing support.
