Baldur's Gate 3 has a pretty cool selection of companions for you to choose from, each with their own unique charms and quirks that makes travelling around with them and watching them interact with each other an absolute joy. However, a certain blunt Githyanki has caused somewhat of a stir on social media this past week, as some believe Lae'zal's status as the game's least popular companion is because female characters are held to a much higher standard than male ones.
There are a whole bunch of people negatively posting about Lae'zal on social media, some calling the character off-putting, grating, and bit too forward. In fact, there are so many opinions floating around out there that Lae'zal herself has taken notice, as actress Devora Wilde has decided to gather up as many mean tweets as she can and responded to them in-character, using her Lae'zal voice to ruthlessly mock them for their wrong opinions.

Rocking an eerily uncanny filter that even makes her look like Lae'zal but a bit less green, Wilde uploaded a TikTok video earlier this week, reading out mean tweets and then responding to them in turn. The responses are a pretty healthy mixture of degradation, humiliation, and one admittance that Karlach is "pretty badass", all things we've come to expect from Lae'zel at this point. She even goes so far as to say one person has a big nose and regularly mocks people for choosing to ignore her advances.
