For a number of years now, Sony has brought PlayStation to ChinaJoy, one of the largest gaming exhibitions in Asia. It's set to take part yet again in 2023, with the event scheduled between 28th and 31st July at Shanghai's New International Expo Center. So, what's Sony bringing to the showfloor?
A fair amount, actually. The platform holder will have a number of games for fans to experience, including a selection from its China Hero Project programme. Here's what will be in Sony's corner of the convention, as reported by Gematsu:
China Hero Project
First Party
Third Party
So, a pretty robust list of software, then. It's not clear whether Sony will have any kind of presentation at ChinaJoy or if it's simply present on the showfloor — we would assume the latter, given the company's seeming lack of interest in the former. Anyway, if you're attending ChinaJoy 2023, it looks like you'll have plenty to enjoy.
Having grown up alongside PlayStation, Stephen has developed an eclectic taste in video games and a wide knowledge of the medium, from small indie gems to the biggest AAA blockbusters. Ever hopeful that the Burnout series makes a miraculous return.
The original zero dawn or rumored remaster? Kind of weird to show off a 7 year old title
Lost Soul Aside is the big one I'm keeping an eye on. The Twitter account said that they will be showcasing a demo where people can play a level, so I hope we get to see new gameplay. Exiledge looks promising too. I'm also keen to see if Sony's going to announce any more publishing deals with some of their China Hero Project stuff.
ChinaJoy? Why? Almost any other place in the world would have been better.
@NotSoCryptic Why?
Not enough live service games for my taste
So sad to see
