Plankton has been revealed as one of the new fighters coming to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, which also confirms a roster leak that happened earlier in the week.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 just had its big gameplay debut at EVO 2023 and, beyond revealing some of the new mechanics that are coming to the game, a brand-new fighter was also confirmed - Plankton from SpongeBob Squarepants. Plankton might seem like a strange pick considering his size, but he fittingly fights in a mech suit that's decked out with a bunch of gadgets.

As you can see from the gameplay video shared by YouTuber GamersPrey, Plankton fights using a big mech suit that lets him tower above SpongeBob and Patrick. His moveset appears to consist of using ketchup bottles, his massive mech fists, a hovering head that acts like a glider, and a whole ton of explosions. It looks like size isn't going to be an issue for Plankton anymore.
As great as it is to see Plankton in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, another interesting part of the reveal is that it actually confirms the big roster leak for the game that happened just a few days ago. That leak showed what appeared to be the game's final key-art and included a bunch of unannounced characters including Azula, the Angry Beavers, Ember, Gerald, Gertie, and El Tigre, alongside Plankton in a mech.
Now that Plankton has been officially confirmed to be part of the game's starting roster, this confirms that the leak we saw earlier in the week is legitimate, which means that we now know every newcomer that's going to be added to the game.
