Mortal Kombat 1 fans might be having a lot of fun with Omni-Man since his launch yesterday, but they're already unimpressed with the lack of content that he brings, with no skins and fewer Brutalities than the rest of the roster.
After months of teasing, Mortal Kombat 1's first Kombat Pack post-launch character has arrived in the form of everyone's favourite Viltrumite conqueror - Omni-Man. Invincible's dad has hit the game just as it goes into its second season of content, but it seems that none of that content has gone towards Nolan himself.
Not only does Omni-Man have less content than every other character on the roster, but his addition to the game also doesn't come with DLC skins like new characters used to in Mortal Kombat 11.
Over on the Mortal Kombat subreddit, Redditor Yomi_Themadfox pointed out that Omni-Man has significantly less earnable content than the rest of the characters in the game. For starters, he only has 20 levels in his progression track, 15 less than the 35 that most playable fighters have.
That smaller rewards track also means that Omni-Man has less earnable gear than anyone else and doesn't have any alternate skins at the moment, with the only significant change to his outfit coming from the various colour palettes he's got. Even then, he's got less of those than he should, even if the Invincible one is awesome.
Add to that the fact that Omni-Man doesn't have any colour swaps or outfits to go along with the new season's blood theme, and it does feel like he's missing a fair amount of content. It's not clear if that's just because he's a licensed character and there's less freedom to mix him up like there is for the other fighters, or if it's just a lack of content, but it is a shame.
