After getting angry at paid seasonal fatalities, overpriced highly-requested skins, and the premium store's rotation system, fans have now turned their anger towards the voice announcer pack for Omni-Man, with many just realizing the item is a separate purchase and isn't included for those that purchased the first Kombat Pack.
This issue was brought up by Reddit user South_Bathroom on the Mortal Kombat subreddit, who complained that items such as voice announcer packs should be included for free as part of the full Kombat Pack, or as part of character Battle Passes. This comment drew forward many like-minded individuals, as well as some that thought the item was free to begin with, fueling a new wave of anger over the game and calling the stunt "DLC for your DLC".
If they were going to include characters as announcers, every character should have been included. And they should have unlocked from character mastery, not your wallet.
There are also some fans that believe this is a deliberate tactic by NetherRealm to trick people into buying something they don't want. As explained by another Reddit user called GrimmTrixx, people have seemingly been tricked into purchasing the Omni-Man voice announcer pack thinking it was the character himself. Omni-Man's voice announcer pack costs a hefty $10, while the character himself only costs $8, and many have reasonably assumed the more expensive option was the character instead.
This has led many to call the tactic an example of "scummy design", as they've also accused NetherRealm of not making it particularly clear that what you're buying is actually a voice announcer pack. While
