Mortal Kombat 1 details have seemingly leaked ahead of an imminent reveal
The first details about the next entry in the Mortal Kombat series have seemingly leaked via a highly reliable source.
Dataminer billbil-kun claims that Mortal Kombat 1 will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
The standard version will cost $69.99 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles and $59.99 on Switch. A Premium edition will be priced at $109.99 and a Kollector’s version at $249.99.
Warner and NetherRealm have been teasing plans to reveal the game imminently, with two recently released videos hinting at a series reboot.
“It is almost time,” the official Mortal Kombat Twitter account said on Wednesday in a message accompanied by the video below.
The video shows the second hand of a clock ticking from 9 to 10 to 11, before skipping 12 and jumping straight to 1.

A 30th anniversary video for the series released earlier this month also hinted that the next game could reset the timeline.
In the video, series co-creator Ed Boon says: “Thank you Mortal Kombat fans for 30 years of amazing support.” He then adds: “We’re not quite done yet.”
The video then cuts to a sequence showing what appears to be sand falling from an hourglass. As the final grain of sand drops, it explodes, creating a Big Bang style effect.
A special hourglass, sometimes referred to as Kronika’s Hourglass, played a key role in the plot of Mortal Kombat 11.
Its Aftermath expansion in particular revolves around Liu Kang and his use of the Hourglass, which has the potential to rewind and rewrite time and history.
The last franchise reboot occurred with 2011’s Mortal Kombat, which was the ninth mainline entry in NetherRealm’s fighting game series.
