Not every Call Of Duty map can be a hit, but one from Modern Warfare 2 was so derided by the game's community that it became a meme: Santa Sena Border Crossing. In a new interview with Dexerto, Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer design director Geoff Smith explained that the map was designed to be more «experiential» than competitive, and that it was inspired in part by the acclaimed movie Sicario.
