New Final Fantasy XVI gameplay footage was shared online, providing a new look at the game's intense combat system.
The new videos, which were shared by IGN, focus on Notorious Mark battles against the Grimalkin, a rank C monster, and the Atlas, a rank S monster that looks very similar to the series' classic Iron Giant enemies. Both videos are excellent showcases of the game's combat system, showing the tools Clive has at his disposal to deal both with larger groups of enemies and single, powerful targets.
Final Fantasy XVI is now less than two weeks away, but players won't have to wait until June 22nd to try out the game, as a playable demo will launch before the game releases. While the demo has yet to release, it's likely that the wait for it won't be much longer, as Square Enix is hosting a launch celebration event tomorrow, and there's a high chance the demo will be made available during the event.
Final Fantasy XVI launches on PlayStation 5 on June 22nd. The game will also release on PC in the future, but it will take more than six months to fully optimize this new version of the game, according to Naoki Yoshida.
