Pre-loading for Final Fantasy 16 will begin on 20th June, and now we have word of the release’s file size. As shared on Twitter by PlayStation Game Size – a reliable account which scrapes Sony’s servers for information on upcoming games and patches – the hotly anticipated console exclusive action RPG will weigh in at 90.18GB in size. This is obviously excluding the previously announced 300MB day one patch.
This is a big boy, then, and perhaps helps to explain why Square Enix was originally planning around two discs for the physical release. Still, now you have confirmation, you can begin to make space on your SSD. Are you buying Final Fantasy 16 physically, digitally, or not at all? Attack us in the comments section below.

Does anyone know of a concrete date when the review embargo for this one is?
@KundaliniRising333 Play the demo and form your opinion from first hand.
@KundaliniRising333 I've read June 21st somewhere but don't take my word for it.
Physically, and since it's all on the disc (minus the small day 1 patch), I'm perfectly fine with the file size. It's nice that the use of UHD discs is the standard on PS5.
Damn and that's with PS5's much better compression.

Not bad. Considering Jedi Survivor is 160g. That 4tb SS upgrade was totally worth it.
@Uncharted2007 demo don't tell all though, I would prefer to read the reviews before spending 70 pounds
Not really a big deal. I mean, a standard PS5 can fit like 8 games of that size on there right? Who’s going to be playing 8 games of this size at once?
@Zoidpilot4 $70 is steep for 99%
