Kingdom Hearts merchandise might get a little ridiculous at times, but Square Enix has revealed one that makes perfect sense - a deck of cards based on the ones used in Chain of Memories.
Most gaming publishers aren't shy about merchandising their biggest games, but there's no one who does it quite like Square Enix. From Final Fantasy statues that cost $11,500 to expensive jewellery lines that will make your wallet cry, we've seen some bizarre things for sale on the Square Enix Store over the years, something that Kingdom Hearts fans are painfully aware of.

While most of the Kingdom Hearts merchandise that Square has released recently has felt a little heartless (I'm looking at you, sofa that barely has anything to do with Kingdom Hearts), it does occasionally knock it out of the park. In fact, it's most recent bit of Sora-esque tat is perhaps one of the best it's ever done - a deck of cards based on the ones used by Sora and Riku in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.
For those so traumatised by the second Riku Replica fight that they've erased all memories of Chain of Memories from their brain, the main gimmick of that game was its card combat, something that the series had never done before and hasn't revisited since. As Sora and Riku explored Castle Oblivion, they used uniquely shaped cards that featured images of Keyblades, items, enemies, and friends, a concept that seemed perfect for turning into real-life merch.
