Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 May Be PS5, PS4's Worst Kept Secret | Push Square

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was a fairly innocuous take on the Smash Bros. formula, and we quite liked it for what it was. A sequel is apparently in the works, at least, according to the constant pitter-patter of leaking information, loose threads, and developer insinuations which, together, present a pretty compelling picture.

As studiously documented by TheGamer, the saga began with the leaking of a series of images which suggested a new move for Patrick and model for Danny Phantom could be coming to the original game, and that the inimitable Squidward could join the cast. Then, what was supposed was new box art led some to start to think this might actually be a sequel, as it implied Vlad Plasmius, Jimmy Neutron, and Raphael from the Ninja Turtles would be joining the fight (in addition to a new art style).

Then Redditor Own_Philosopher_2008 posted this image yesterday, which looks to show El Tigre and Garfield duking it out on a testing map. Following that, the actual creator of El Tigre, Jorge R. Gutierrez, shared the same leak to Instagram with the caption, «here comes a new challenger!» adding further fuel to the flames.

If that wasn't enough, one of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's lead devs, Thaddeus Crews, reacted with a "this is fine" meme, in response to the leak, before dropping what <a href=«https://twitter.com/Repiteo/status/1676460440811913216?ref_src=» https:>could be the clincher

It's probably fair to say the community for the original Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has largely evaporated in the year since launch. At the time of this writing, there are less than two dozen players currently playing on Steam, and we can't imagine the story is very different on PlayStation.
