A foray into the old school, Raging Bytes or Zombie of the Dot includes pixelated visuals that will take the players back to the days of consoles past and furious button punching. Raging Bytes unravels an old-school setup for players by offering pixel-art visuals. The game is a single-player mobile game and uses pixelated zombie RPG elements. The storyline of Raging Bytes further heightens the quaint console game vibe.
The game is set in a 1970s post-apocalyptic zombie-infested USA. The mobile game has “survival” genre elements which are revealed by the players as the game progresses. The players can explore the game through the protagonist, Ben. A police officer, Ben has just woken up after an accident and as things would have it, he has a zombie apocalypse on his hands. With the help of his team, Ben explores ways to kill zombies and prevent himself from getting infected.
The plotline is similar to a zombie movie although it evolves in a step-by-step format. It features a turn-based system. The gameplay is further enhanced by players having to seek supplies in different locations. There is also a cache of weapons that includes a pistol, a grenade, a knife, and a shocker.
