Lords of the Fallen developer HEXWORKS continues its tireless efforts to improve the game post-release. Yet another patch was pushed to live last afternoon, updating the game to version 1.1.282.
Sized at slightly less than 1 GB (on Steam, at least), it adds over a hundred fixes, tweaks, and improvements of various kinds. To begin with, there's a slew of crash fixes and performance enhancements:
HEXWORKS also reworked the HDR implementation in Lords of the Fallen. Previously, they had used Unreal Engine 5's default HDR settings, but that didn't provide satisfactory results, so they have now implemented a custom range of max HDR luminance to improve the game's visual quality on supported displays.
The developers fixed several bugs that occurred in co-op sessions and also tweaked Boss weapons to be less effective in PvP in an attempt to increase build variety. The AI behavior of various enemies has been refined as well, in addition to various balance and level design tweaks, not to mention various graphics, UI, and audio enhancements.
Lords of the Fallen didn't review very well here on Wccftech. However, the game sold over a million units in its first ten days on the market, and both HEXWORKS and CI Games are determined to improve it.
