Blizzard has released concept art for Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred - the game's first official expansion arriving in late 2024.
The game's first expansion was announced during the BlizzCon 2023 opening event, and Blizzard has now released some concept art for it. The art shows Prime Evil Mephisto, the jungle region Nahantu/Torajan, Kurast and Kurast Docks, Travincal, and an unknown temple. Fans of the franchise will likely recognize some of the art, most notably Kurast and Travincal. We've included Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred concept art below:
Aside from releasing these incredible pieces of art, Blizzard has also revealed that more information about the Vessel of Hatred expansion will be revealed during Summer 2024. "Vessel of Hatred is coming out in late 2024, and we'll actually have more news next summer about Diablo 4's first expansion", Blizzard's Community Director Adam Fletcher said during Diablo 4 campfire chat panel on Day 2 of BlizzCon. In addition, General Manager Rod Fergusson said that the team wanted to keep the hype in check as the expansion is still far out.
"The expansion is going to come late next year, so we don't want to "light the hype fire" and make it too big to just cool off eventually, leading to players having to wait for a long time [for new information]", Fergusson said during Force Gaming's Stream (thank you Wowhead).
He added, "We hope to have the big expansion reveal come early this summer, so that way we can provide a lot more details about what we're doing and what the new class and story are - that will come in about six months or so. [At BlizzCon,] we wanted to give enough to keep players interested but not go crazy and then have them wonder what's going on."
We'll update you as soon as more
