Bungie's sci-fi shooter Destiny 2 is getting an unusual crossover as CD Projekt Red's The Witcher is coming to the cosmetics store.
Bungie released an image, below, showing fans what to expect from the upcoming collaboration. The Geralt of Rivia armour, due out November 28, includes armour ornaments, a Ghost shell, ship, Sparrow, emote, and finisher.
The centre set, worn by the Titan, is most reminiscent of The Witcher and protagonist Geralt in particular. It's based on the Kaer Morhen armour available in The Witcher 3, the same set that features on most key art including the box cover.
The Warlock's set looks based the Ursine Armour and the clothing of the Skellige people in general, while the Hunter's set of course features a hood and is therefore reminiscent of the agile Cat School armour.
The collaboration arrives alongside Season of the Wish, perhaps a coincidental reference to the first Witcher book, The Last Wish. Bungie also enjoys another easy reference to the beloved fantasy series, with the second Witcher Book being the Sword of Destiny.
Bungie CEO Pete Parsons said in October 2023 that lay-offs at Bungie came as a result of Destiny 2's underperformance. The developer will therefore be hoping the next expansion, called The Final Shape, can bring things back a little.
Ryan Dinsdale is an IGN freelance reporter. He'll talk about The Witcher all day.
