Marvel and Lego have been collaborating for a while. Not only is there a laundry list of Lego Marvel video games to play, but a lot of iconic characters, as well as some famous locations from the comics and movies, have been transformed into sets and Minifigures. There are more than 200 Lego Marvel Minifigures available today, and an encyclopedia launching later this year details most, if not all of them and will even add a brand new one to the mix.
Amazon revealed that the Lego Marvel Character Encyclopedia is real and coming on October 1, 2024, by adding a store page for the new book. Even though the encyclopedia won't be shipped for more than eight months, you can pre-order your copy right now through the link below for just $19.72, slightly lower than the price it will usually retail for, $21.99.
On top of getting a compendium of Lego Marvel Minifigures for a very reasonable price, the book will also come with an exclusive, never-before-seen Minifigure. The silhouette on the listing implies that the Minifigure will be a new Iron Man, however, it may have simply used that as a placeholder. It might also just be a silhouette of the exclusive Minifigure that was given to those who bought copies of Lego Marvel's Visual Dictionary.
Lego Marvel closed out 2023 with a very big bang, launching one of its biggest sets to date. A $500 model of Avengers Tower made up of more than 5,000 pieces. If you're the proud owner of a Lego Avengers Tower, good for you, and if you've already managed to build it, even better for you. The set comes with more than 30 Minifigures, and I'm assuming all of them will be included in the encyclopedia launching later this year.
Lego Marvel has kicked off 2024 with a lot of new sets too. A second set modeled after No Way Home's final battle with a giant Sandman at its center is available now, and an X-Jet - complete with Minifigures - inspired by the X-Men '97 animated series coming to Disney Plus this year - launched on New Year's Day.
