Warhorse Studios has confirmed the arrival of the Kingdom Come Deliverance Switch version in early 2024.
Ever since the release of the open-world RPG in 2018, fans have been asking for a Switch port of the game. Back in 2021, after various rumors, developer Warhorse Studios announced that the title would indeed be coming to Nintendo's hybrid platform. A release date, however, wasn't shared. Fast forward two years and the Czech video game developer has now confirmed that the game, which is being ported by porting wizards Saber Interactive, is arriving on the Switch in early 2024 in the form of a "Royal Edition". "Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch in the early 2024", the post from the developer on X reads. "In collaboration with @SaberGames, we are bringing Henry's thrilling journey to the palm of your hand very soon."
As some of you will recall, the console versions of Kingdom Come Deliverance weren't the best with plenty of performance issues, and even on PC, it was clear that the title was pretty demanding at the time. As such, it will be interesting to see how the Switch version will perform, given the 'weaker' hardware of Nintendo's platform. Then again, Saber Interactive is known for its impressive Switch port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. So if any studio is up to the task of bringing this title to the Switch, it would be Saber.
In an official press release, publisher Plaion has shared some additional details about the 'Royal Edition', which will include all of the game's DLCs. We've also included some screenshots of the Switch version, as shared by Plaion.
