Along the course of Indiana's adventure, he meets plenty of friends and foes, including a new companion named Ginetta Lombardi, or Gina for short. As an investigative journalist, she shares Indy's passion for getting to the heart of a mystery and his penchant for tussling with fascists along the way. The two of them have several scuffles with a giant named Locus, but the true villain of the narrative is Emmerich Voss, a Nazi who will stop at nothing to get his hands on artifacts found at locations that form the shape of the titular great circle around the world.
The race against Voss in ultimately leads Indy to the Ziggurat of Ur, a gigantic ziggurat found in Iraq, where the Nazis have set up a base camp for an excavation. Although he's spent most of the game chasing the artifacts to prevent Voss from getting his hands on them, he embarks on the final quest with the intent to rescue Gina, who's held in the Nazis' clutches. The giant Locus, who ended up helping Indy and Gina after determining that Voss was the greater threat, is captured while assisting.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle valiantly attempts to recapture what makes the movies special, and like Indy himself, it usually lands on its feet.
