An incredibly talented cosplayer has created a hyper-realistic suit, with footage of it in action looking like it could have come from a photorealistic mod for the game. Since the original 's 2008 launch, Isaac Clarke's RIG (meaning Resource Integration Gear) design has become instantly recognizable and somewhat iconic within the sci-fi and horror gaming circuits.
Peep Cosplay took to Reddit to show the animation for the cosplay's RIG health bar as it lights up along the back, before turning to show the helmet lighting up as well, and it looks like it could have come straight out of the 2023 remake. Many of the comments below Peep Cosplay's post seem to agree, saying they "" or "", and praising the creator for going "".
Isaac's RIG design helped players monitor Isaac's vitals in gameplay, with the glowing bar appearing along his spine going from one red block when severely injured through to several aqua blocks when at full health. Admittedly, this would have been of no use to Isaac himself, as he couldn't see it on his own back (but likely had some indicator in-universe within his helmet's display) but for players, this was a brilliant idea as it helped avoid standard HUD items like health bars from cluttering up the screen to better add immersion as they explored the USG Ishimura and faced the horrifying Necromorph threat.
Peep Cosplay sells many helmets, weapons, suits, and other props from the franchise on their Etsy page, with the full, lit-up, suit on sale there. Other items include the iconic Plasma Cutters and Pulse Rifles from both the original trilogy and the remake.
Each item appears to be just as screen-accurate and detailed as the one showcased in their video on Reddit, truly bringing the horrifying world of to life. While these are unofficial and not affiliated with Electronic Arts, they are certainly worth looking into for those wishing to cosplay as Isaac Clarke, with glowing five-star reviews from those who purchased them so far.
