For over a month, leaks were claiming that among other first-party Microsoft titles, Hi-Fi Rush was set to be announced for Nintendo Switch and PS5, and though a multiplatform release was recently officially confirmed for the acclaimed rhythm action title, it was only confirmed for PS5.
With no mention of a Switch version, does that mean those in the Nintendo ecosystem won’t be getting their hands on Tango Gameworks’ action game anytime soon? Well, not necessarily. According to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, Hi-Fi Rush will be releasing for Nintendo Switch 2, not the current Switch.
Of course, recent reports have strongly insisted that Nintendo’s next-gen console has been delayed to Q1 of 2025, with its reveal consequently pushed back to June, it’s probably still going to be a while before Hi-Fi Rush gets announced for a Nintendo platform, even if this is accurate.
Hi-Fi Rush will release for PS5 on March 19. It is currently available on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Other Microsoft titles that are headed for multiplatform releases are Grounded, which launches for Switch, PS5, and PS4 on April 16, and Sea of Thieves, which will release for PS5 on April 30. Meanwhile, Pentiment is out today for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
