The first GTA 6 trailer is breaking records, and if it can earn another 40 million views, it'll dethrone a record set by Korean music sensation BTS in 2021.

After Rockstar Games dropped the GTA 6 trailer early--thanks in part to Bitcoin peddlers ruining Rockstar's moment--the internet quickly began discussing the game. Its debut trailer has been dissected and analyzed, theories are piling up, and GTA 6 has already broken another record.
As spotted by Discussing Film, the GTA 6 trailer has broken the record for the most views in 24 hours on a non-music YouTube video. At the time of writing, the trailer has amassed almost 70 million views in this time period.

If Rockstar is looking to break the record for most views in 24 hours overall, it still has a long way to go to topple Korean band BTS and the 108 million views that it achieved in a single day for its «Butter» music video. On Twitter, the tweet announcing that a trailer was on the way now sits with over two million likes, making it the most-liked gaming tweet of all time.
GTA 6 is scheduled to launch in 2025--it'll be the first big Rockstar game to not be delayed if it does make this date--for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the first trailer is a wild ride throughout Vice City that's loaded with Florida Man energy.
