GTA 6's reveal trailer showed that we'll be playing as a woman called Lucia in Rockstar's hotly-anticipated sequel. There was a lot of outrage, with some gamers decrying that the series had gone "woke", swearing off GTA once and for all. Now, Michael De Santa himself has spoken up, calling out the detractors.
"Lucia's hard, man. In the trailer, she looked good," Michael actor Ned Luke said in an interview with IGN. "You get a lot of these clowns out here going, 'Rockstar's going woke, they're caving into the wokeness of the world'. First of all, there's been other female protagonists in the past, but obviously not in something as huge as this.

"GTA 6 is going to be the biggest game ever. She looks like a bada** to me. That last scene where they come busting in, she just looked like a bada**. And the thing that was cool was that she led the way. She kicked open the door, and then Jason was back here. So, I don't know if you read into that as she's going to be the big time and he's going to be with her, or what."
Of course, it's not just Lucia that has some gamers angry. GTA 6's trailer also showed the Miami-inspired Vice City in all its current-gen glory. That means sprawling beaches packed with people and a dense, bustling metropolis just next door. However, many were upset to see Black and Hispanic people, penning comments on the YouTube page like, "Not a single white person in this trailer. Big surprise," and even, "This is white replacement theory. George Soros says hi."
Others tweeted collages of Black people, taking screenshots from the trailer, with captions such as, "It's all so tiresome." These
