One Starfield player decided to spice up their playthrough by grav-jumping to Venus and clearing every single asteroid from its orbit. Though Starfield enjoyed success at launch, breaking several milestones and setting new Bethesda records, its player count on Steam has dwindled by an alarming amount ever since. Starfield's ship builder and gunplay were universally praised, but many fans were disappointed by its procedural generation and shallow world-building.
After wrapping up the storyline of each faction in Starfield, completing the Constellation main quest, and exploring to a degree that they're satisfied with, Starfield players have the option to enter the Unity and do it all over again as Starborn. While the new dialogue option offers a shortcut through a select few moments in the main quest, and even offers a chance to prevent a certain character's death, the experience largely remains the same: they need to gather Artifacts, advance their Starborn powers, and ultimately enter Unity. In order to escape the primary gameplay loop, it's important for players to try something new.
Whereas most fans dedicate themselves to ship building or outpost decoration, mewrius decided to break up the monotony with an asteroid hunting session on Venus instead. Considering that their ship is decked out with six Slayton Aerospace Thrusters, it should be more than enough to glide through an asteroid field. While shooting at space rocks isn't considered an optimal way to earn credits in Starfield, each asteroid counts as a mineral deposit, and as such, can yield resources such as Iron or Water.
Though ship weapons in Starfield come in three major categories, particle weapons are far and away the best option for just about any scenario. On paper, laser weapons are ideal for melting through enemy shields, while ballistics are perfect for damaging the hull.
