Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2024 just gave us a new look at Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero that showed off nearly all of Goku and Vegeta's transformations.
Last year's Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour gave fans what they'd been asking about for more than a decade - a new Budokai Tenkaichi game. Since the game, which has since officially been titled Sparking: Zero, was revealed, fans have hoped that we'd get another trailer at this year's Battle Hour event, which is exactly what just happened.
As we speculated when the trailer premiere date was confirmed, the new footage showed Goku and Vegeta fighting through several Dragon Ball sagas, leading all the way up to their Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan transformations. The trailer also gave us our best look yet at the combat of Sparking: Zero, which certainly seems close to the old Budokai Tenkaichi games.
The trailer also seemed to confirm that character variations will be their own slot on the roster, as the end of the trailer showed all of Goku and Vegeta's forms taking up individual slots from different Dragon Ball sagas. This was hinted at when a Twitter post specifically referenced Goku's "Super" variant, but it's now even clearer. Here's hoping Goku (Mid) makes a return for all the memeing fans.
Although most of Goku and Vegeta's transformations were shown off in the trailer, we still don't know if Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta are going to be playable in Sparking: Zero. Don't count on Ultra Ego, though, as it's only been in the Super manga so far.
Sadly, we didn't get to see a release date for Sparking: Zero like some fans hoped, with the trailer ending with the same "Wishlist Now" message that's been shown over the last few months. Sparking: Zero still hasn't been confirmed for 2024, but with all the marketing being shown right now, it does seem likely to be this year.
Although Sparking: Zero is no doubt the most exciting thing shown at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2024, it wasn't the only reveal. Bandai
