A considerably popular custom LEGO set created by a member of the Subnautica fanbase has recently achieved a milestone of 10,000 supporters on the LEGO IDEAS website, and is now under active review to potentially become an official LEGO set at some point in the future. The build features the iconic Aurora capital ship from the original Subnautica as well as a minifigure version of the game's protagonist, Ryley Robinson.
Subnautica remains an incredibly popular singleplayer title even six years after its full release, with the underwater exploration game enjoying a large and active online community consisting of beginners and veteran fans alike. The more recent release of Subnautica's DLC turned sequel, Subnautica: Below Zero, as well as the continued support of a thriving modding community, has kept fans invested in the game's rich and expansive world, and the arrival of both Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero on the Nintendo Switch back in 2021 has introduced tons of new players to the oceans of planet 4546b.
Passionate members of the Subnautica community have shared plenty of incredible fan-made projects over the years, but a LEGO recreation of the starship Aurora has recently gained the attention of LEGO officials after the project reached 10,000 supporters on the LEGO IDEAS website. The build was created and shared online by the creator known as OG Brick Studio, who is responsible for various impressive LEGO builds spanning various well-known franchises. Originally posted to LEGO IDEAS back at the beginning of 2023, the project quickly garnered considerable attention from the games' community, reaching more than three thousand supporters in less than a month.
