Of all the new content introduced in , Queen's Blood is one of the most complex; learning this card game can be tricky, and building the best deck for it is even trickier. While the cards you pick should depend on your strategy, a few cards stand out as especially helpful when used correctly.
You'll receive a starter deck in Chapter 2 of. This deck isn't bad and even has a few cards that will be featured later, but players should keep an eye out for opportunities to play more Queen's Blood or unlock new cards as they explore the world. Mandragora isn't great on its own, but it's useful in many early-game matches thanks to its space-taking potential. It's a right-and-down opener that spawns a Mandragora Minion, and the Minion is an up-and-right opener. It can act as a placeholder card until you have a card that can be played into the space it creates.
Having the Mandragora and its Minion as a placeholderlimits the space your opponent can take, while its L shape lets you move closer to enemy territory. Those spots will be yours to claim when needed. This card gets out scaled by some cards later in the game, but for your first few matches, it should serve you well.
