Dark Souls can be pretty rough if you're new to the series, forcing you to slam your head against bosses that are essentially brick walls with way too many legs. If you know what you're doing, things are much easier, and you'll struggle to find anyone who knows more about Dark Souls than Twitch streamer Regole, who recently earned himself a new world record by beating not only the first game, but both of its sequels, back to back in under 90 minutes.
Regole announced his new world record via his Twitter account earlier this week, sharing the stats and final time of his run for posterity. It's a game that Regole knows that he can improve upon though, as he's aiming to get his in-game time down to sub 75 minutes, with the ambition to submit his runs to Summer Games Done Quick if he gets fast enough. Don't be surprised to see Regole at SGDQ next year.
You also realize just how much of a Dark Souls speedrunner Regole actually is when you take a look at his Speedrun.com page, which includes several world records for Dark Souls 1 runs, including Souls Level 1 Any Percent and the world record speedrun for Dark Souls 1's Artorias of the Abyss DLC. Add this new world record to his total, and Regole has got a pretty impressive haul,
