A Palworld player has built a giant ramp to exit their base and recommends that other gamers follow suit. Palworld has become 2024’s first surprise hit and has captivated gamers worldwide. Most players have found that the Pocketpair hit blends the monster-catching and survival genres to create a satisfying gameplay loop.
Palworld players can only build one base at the beginning of the game but can unlock a second one as they level up the first. One integral feature of the game is learning how to build and upgrade Palworld bases to become optimized to mass-produce end-game-level items and materials using Pals eventually. However, besides being a way to get materials, items, and food, bases also serve as a forward camp that allows players to explore the Palpagos Island step by step. These bases can be attacked periodically by various wild Pals and NPCs, and in the early game, players will only have access to a few defensive features. So often, the worst-case scenario, which is a player's facilities being severely damaged, ends up happening. As such, being able to exit a base quickly can be a plus.
One Palworld player, going by the handle goochballz, has found that adding an exit ramp to their base allows them to not only leave their base fast but also travel some distance. The player shared to the Palworld subreddit a video of them running up some wooden stairs and across a platform before sliding and opening up their glider to soar past the Mammorest boss found in the beginning area of the game. While in most cases the high-leveled Pal does not attack unless it is injured first, this is a good way of getting past the creature without engaging them.
The post was well-received in the subreddit, earning 7.3k upvotes in less than a day. Some other users in the thread noted that this was an excellent way to prevent Pals from being reloaded in bases when fast traveling. Many players consider this to be a frustrating bug in Palworld, as Pals can be unassigned from their tasks
