It’s been a pretty busy week, with a small flood of announcements and trailers coming around the Nintendo Direct stream, and then the big review for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – easily one of the most highly anticipated games of the year!
It’s also been the first anniversary for the PlayStation VR 2, which has made me feel a tiny bit guilty for how much time mine has spent in its box over the last few months. Are you a PSVR 2 owner? How much game time has yours had this year?
It’s been a big week for reviews with a trio of simply excellent games to check out, depending on if you’re after a huge JRPG or are more into your Mystery Dungeon and Roguelike games.
And we had a pro controller review for Xbox gamers out there:
Thrustmaster eSwap X2 – Xbox, PC – 9/10
Alongside the reviews, Reu went hands on with Princess Peach: Showtime! and rather enjoyed his time switching roles to overcome the Sour Bunch’s mischievous plays, while Steve delved into Sker Ritual and saw promise in the genre shifted successor to Maid of Sker.
Picking up the trail of one of January’s best games, Ade spoke to the team at Ubisoft Montpellier to see how Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is steeped in Persian mythology.
And rounding things out for the week was What We Played, which featured plenty of Helldivers 2, some Ultros, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Remake and Intermission!
