As reported by PCGamesN, a new mod called «NPCs Take Cover» from popular modder JaySerpa adds a variety of new mechanics to the game's AIs. The mod makes several adjustments to the AI for in-game enemies, causing them to find better options for cover when the player is attempting to shoot from an area they cannot reach. The combat-shifting mod even adds new voicelines, insulting players for attempting to «cheese» Skyrim's combat. The mod also makes improvements to enemies' detection, allowing them to more quickly see players attempting to shoot them.
The improved AI for NPCs is just one of many quality-of-life updates made to Skyrim through its many mods.
