If you've played Garry's Mod, you'll know that it can be an incredibly deep and complex tool used to create all types of weird and wonderful gamemodes for other users to play. Trouble in Terrorist Town is probably the title's most popular and recognisable gamemode, but there are also lots of other gamemodes that encourage different forms of serious roleplay. Players can take on the roles of prison wardens, police officers, Star Wars characters, and all sorts of other kinds of people, but there's also a nasty side to the game's roleplay community.
Alongside some of the more innocent gamemodes are much more questionable roleplay communities, some of which let people take on the roles of school shooters or Nazis. For example, there's a popular gamemode called 1942RP which takes place in Nazi Germany during World War 2. Players can either take on the role of a resistance fighter, citizen, or a Nazi, and play out daily life in Germany during the time period. That's one of the more tame communities involving Nazis, but if you're sat there thinking it's a problem, Garry's Mod creator Garry Newman seems to agree with you.

In a tweet of Newman's personal Twitter account, a poll has been set up asking fans whether "Nazi gamemodes" should be banned on Garry's Mod from here on out, claiming that "there's no legit reason for them to exist." The vast majority of the Garry's Mod seem to agree, with the poll currently sat at 72.4 percent in favor of a ban at the time of writing.
