Forza Motorsport is now available to those who bought the Premium Edition, and some players are noticing a display bug that makes gameplay look washed out on Xbox. Thankfully, developer Turn 10 Studios has shared how to fix it.
Players experiencing the issue should first set the video option they prefer, then quit Forza Motorsport completely from the Xbox dashboard. Players can then restart the game and, as long as they don't go into the display settings again, the washed out gameplay should be fixed.
When tested by IGN, some issues remained even when completing these steps. But restarting the Xbox console altogether solved the remaining graphical bugs.
Having provided the solution, Turn 10 made clear it is aware of the problem but told IGN it would be addressed in the next update, though didn't say when this would be. "We have already checked in a fix for this and it’ll be in the next update," it said.
Forza Motorsport launches proper October 10 but is available today, October 5, for those who bought the more expensive Premium Edition. Those with Game Pass can play it for no additional cost on launch day, or buy the Premium Edition upgrade to play early.
Those looking to do so should be aware of its hefty file size, though at 100GB, it's not much bigger than other recent AAA releases.
In our 8/10 review, IGN said: "Forza Motorsport is brimming with new features across the board, from its muscular new multiplayer to its much-improved handling, but its new RPG-inspired upgrade system feels like a step down."
