Alan Wake 2 has received widespread praise from critics and audiences alike, and though its visual and technical elements have been noted by many to be among the game’s strong points, like any other game, the survival horror title has launched with a few lingering bugs and issues. To address a number of these, Remedy Entertainment has released a new patch for the game, which brings with it over 200 fixes and improvements.
The patch targets issues relation to audio, lip syncing, graphical bugs, gameplay glitches, the UI, minor progression blocks, and more, while also bringing with it improvements to audio for live action cinematics, the lighting, image aliasing on the Xbox Series S (and in Performance Mode on other consoles), and more. Meanwhile, a number of mission-specific fixes have also been made, along with a couple of PC-specific ones. You can view the full patch notes below.
Remedy Entertainment has said that it’s also working on New Game Plus and Nightmare difficulty, though there’s no word yet on when they will be added. Meanwhile, the developer also has two expansions in the works that will launch next year.
Alan Wake 2 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Read our review of the game through here.
