Ashenvale Open World PvP Mounts in Season of Discovery
As we continue datamining the WoW Classic Season of Discovery PTR, we've discovered two Ashenvale mounts used for open world PvP! Only usable in Ashenvale, the Trainee's Sentinel Nightsaber and Trainee's Outrider Wolf are meant to help players get around the zone a little faster while engaging in PvP, despite the initial level 25 cap in Season of Discovery.
As explained during the Classic: What's Next panel at BlizzCon23, Ashenvale will become a hotly contested battleground in Season of Discovery, with zone wide PvP events triggered by kills members of the opposing faction. Similar to Alterac Valley, there will be two faction leader NPCs to protect or defeat, a Horde Farseer and Alliance Priestess of the Moon, which can be weakened by conquering smaller faction camps across the zone. Despite the initial level 25 cap at the start of Season of Discovery, players will also be able to learn these faction-specific «trainee» mounts to help them get around the zone a little faster, though we were also told there will be an Ashenvale exclusive mount earnable through the Warsong Outriders / Silverwing Sentinels factions as well.
