A Fallout: New Vegas fan has put the entire Mojave Wasteland map inside Fallout 4 with a new mod.
As reported by PCGamesN, NexusMods user bololo11 uploaded the FNV to FO4 mod, which grants Fallout 4 players access to the models and plugins for Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3 if they own each game.
The included script also converts Fallout: New Vegas's map into Fallout 4, letting players explore the beloved game's Mojave Wasteland map inside the franchise's latest.
Unfortunately this doesn't just let fans play the entirety of Fallout: New Vegas in Fallout 4 as it doesn't import any NPCs, creatures, quests, and so on. Creator bololo11 does offer some hope, however, saying these features are not "currently" available, meaning they be added one day.
Fallout and other games from Bethesda are fan-favourites in the modding community, with developers practically creating entire games within them. Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod coming to Fallout 4, for example, adding a new map, characters, quests, and everything else players would expect in a full game.
These mods are the only taste of the franchise (albeit unofficially) fans will get for a long time. Bethesda director and executive producer Todd Howard has confirmed Fallout 5 won't arrive until after The Elder Scrolls 6, which isn't due until 2028 at the earliest.
