Drivetrain and weight contribute to how smoothly a car handles. PI is an overall rating of a car's performance. Vehicles in are also classified by PI ranges, so PI may also determine which races a car is eligible for. It may not be the most glamorous option, but the 2019 Subaru STI S209 is the best choice of starting car in. This may be somewhat counter-intuitive because, of the three, it has the lowest overall PI at just 547, compared to the Honda Civic's 571. However, what makes the Subaru so good, especially for beginners, is its sense of balance. It has higher Power and Torque stats than the Civic, but better handling than the Mustang.
