Samsung has decided to widen its portfolio of Odyssey OLED gaming monitors through a new entrant, the S49CG934, which boasts high-end specs.
The Samsung S49CG934 comes under the Odyssey OLED G9 series, and starting off with the specifications, the monitor comes with a 49-inch dual 2K OLED screen that is optimal for high-end content consumption along with professional tasks. The monitor supports a maximum resolution of 5120x1440 with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time. Samsung's Odyssey lineup needs no introduction since the Korean giant tends to integrate high-end stuff into its product to exhibit the feeling of "premium-ness" that it is intended for.
The Samsung S49CG934 OLED G9 also features AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support, providing a smooth gaming experience. It comes with VESA’s DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and HDR10+ rating, making it an industry-leading product with no sort of slacks.
In terms of onboard interfaces, the gaming monitor is equipped with HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4, fully-stacked USB-C interface, providing users extensive connectivity without worrying ever about running out of ports.
On paper, the S49CG934 looks quite similar to its higher-end S49CG954SC counterpart, however, the main change here is in the difference in regional pricing. The OLED G9 "S49CG934" is retailing for around 8,999 RMB ($1236 US) during the 11.11 sale and 9,399 RMB ($129 US) normally while the "S49CG954SC" model is going for 15,999 RMB ($2200 US), and the price difference is indeed huge.
