Dead by Daylight has officially revealed that the next licensed killer coming to the game is Child Play's Chucky, despite previous claims that he was "too funny" to make it in.
Yesterday, Behaviour Interactive shared a teaser for Dead by Daylight's next killer, which showed a knife rack that was missing a big kitchen knife. Although lots of horror movie killers wield kitchen knives, many fans guessed from the tease that Child's Play's Chucky was going to be announced as the next licensed killer.
Some fans thought that the tease that Behaviour released yesterday could actually be for Five Nights at Freddy's Springtrap, who used a kitchen knife in the recently-released movie. Seems like they're going to have to keep waiting for that inevitable crossover, though.
Well, those eagle-eyed horror fans can give themselves a big pat on the back, as Behaviour Interactive has just revealed that Chucky is indeed coming to Dead by Daylight on November 28. Despite many assuming that the infamous killer was too small to join the game and wouldn't work with a roster of normal-sized murderers, the teaser trailer for Chucky indicates that he's going to be the same doll-size as always and that Brad Dourif is returning to voice him.
IGN's article on the reveal gives us a bit more information about the crossover, noting that Chucky excels at sneaking around the map thanks to his short stature, and that his abilities include a lunge attack, an assist from Charles Lee Ray in spirit form, and a move that lets him bypass windows and pallets. It looks like he's going to be a pretty powerful killer.
