While exploring the depths of Khazad-dûm in , you might come across ancient dwarven Statues you can restore for multiple rewards. Fixing these stone carvings earns you a new haven underground and also lets you gain recipes for new items to craft. The random generation of these monuments may be challenging to find as you create the right items needed to repair them.
Before you even think about addressing broken Statues, you will need to harvest 2 Iron Ingots and 4 Wood Scraps from other locations you've discovered. Once you find these simple items, fast travel in to somewhere safe to build an Iron Hammer. This tool will be necessary for any restoration projects you decide to pursue and can be fairly useful against enemies who attack your mining group.

Statues can be fixed in byusing a certain number of Stones collected from spots around different underground zones. Most restorations cost between 10–20 Stones to perform, but thankfully, this resource is perhaps one of the most common you'll find throughout your explorations. Simply break rocks or pick up Stonesfrom destroyed areas to collect everything you need tied to a Statue.
Every Statue you encounter will list the amount of Stones required to repair it. Make sure to mark the Statue's location on the map so you don't lose its location as you search for Stones.
As you manage your Bag Size Inventory in to contain the right number of Stones, consider using other tools other than your Iron Hammer to collect this material. The Hammer can complete the repairs on a Statue better if it is at full strength. Some statutes even require your Iron Hammer to be upgraded to a higher level before you can even try
