Michael De Santa Actor Teases GTA 6 Return
According to a report from Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, Rockstar will finally announce GTA 6 this week with a trailer to follow next month. Since all we've had for the past couple of years are leaks, details are scarce, but fans are eager to find out if any past characters will return. So, one fan took to Twitter and asked Ned Luke directly if Michael would make an appearance.

While his response is cryptic, he didn't outright deny the possibility, and we know GTA doesn't shy away from bringing back past games' characters. In GTA 5, The Lost & Damned's Johnny Klebitz appeared during Trevor's introduction. Let's just hope Michael doesn't get killed off that fast.
There are also appearances from Ashley Butler, Packie, Terry and Clay, Karen Daniels, Poppy Mitchell, Kerry McIntosh, and Lazlow Jones to name a few. But none of them were the lead, playable character. GTA 4's Niko Bellic only appeared in GTA 5 on a wanted poster since Trevor killed him between the two games. Things are looking bleak if Michael does come back.
There is a slither of hope for his character, though. GTA Online DLC in 2021 revealed that Michael is still alive and thriving. During 'The Contract', Fraklin drives through a movie studio and says, "Man, shit, I know one of the producers around here. I hope his ass ain't at work today."
Michael of course becomes a producer at the end of GTA 5, granted you get the third ending where all three protagonists survive. That means Trevor and Franklin are also kicking around, so the gang could reunite in GTA 6 if Rockstar doesn't kill them off between games.
Franklin actor Shawn Fonteno and Trevor actor Steven Ogg have not commented on whether they're returning for GTA 6.
