EverQuest has hit a new milestone today with the launch of the game’s 30th expansion,Laurion’s Song. The new expansion raises the level cap, adds the Alternate Personas feature, and lots of new content, from new zones, missions and quests, raids, new combat abilities and spells, and more.
Now you can level your character up to 125 with this expansion. The new Alternate Persona feature will let you switch to a different class while maintaining your same name, bank, inventory, crafting skills, and keyring. This gives you the freedom to swap to unfully functional class and take on those skills as a separate feature. The team released a FAQ about the feature with everything you need to know. This will not work like shrouds, this will be a completely different class to try out.
The storyline will find you helping to investigate a new mystery, where things are not what they may seem. The official descriptionsets the premise like this: “Welcome to the Realm of Heroes, the place where the greatest heroes go when their adventures are over. Nobody remembers the last time anyone entered or left this place. Can you discover what the mystery is that lies under the façade of comfort and revelry? Why is the Realm open now? Why was it closed for so long?” The mysterious inn invites adventurers in for a rest. But what’s really going on?
Explore the new goblin stronghold of Ankexfen Keep located in the north of Norrath. This fortress will loom intimidatingly and it is one of the new zones.
