The first major update of 2024, World of Warcraft islaunching Seeds of Renewal on January 16th, bringing with it Dragonriding Azeroth-wide, Dragon Isle Epilogues, and more.
One of the marquee features of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is its dynamic Dragonriding skill. Originally relegated to just the Dragon Isles, Seeds of Renewal adds this feature to all the old-world continents, bringing Dragonriding to the farther reaches of Azeroth. With Seeds of Renewal, we will also see new character customizations, such as new hair colors for Trolls as well as options for Draenei, Darkglare demons, and Warlock Tyrants.
Azerothian Archives also open up, giving new solo and group activities to take part in and earn rewards like Transmog sets, Battle Pets and more. Bel'ameth, a new central hub for Seeds of Renewal will also arrive alongside the update.
Seeds of Renewal will also see the epilogue quests for the Dragon Isles, as well as follower dungeons which adds NPC party members to all eight normal Dragonflight dungeons.
«Tank, heal, and DPS alongside follower NPC companions that join you on your Dungeon adventures. They will be available in all eight Normal Dragonflight Dungeons and can scale from 1 to 4 players. These companions will allow players to learn about Dragonflight dungeons at their own pace and provide the freedom to experiment and customize their Party makeup.»
This is just the first part of theambitious roadmap that the World of Warcraft team has set up for 2024, which they revealed last month. Update 10.2.5, which is Seeds of Renewal, is just the first part of 2024, with pirates seemingly coming (finally) in 10.2.6, while Season 4 and The War Within Alpha slated to start towards the Spring of this year.
