Fortnite's latest event has brought the likes of Peter Griffin and Metal Gear's legendary solider Snake to the island for the first time. Most of the changes have been received pretty well, apart from the animation tweaks that a fan doxxed a developer over, but there is one certain feature that Metal Gear fans in particular are up in arms over. Snake has been thoroughly de-caked once again.
Having appeared in multiple spinoff titles in his signature wetsuit, Snake's cake has been proudly on display ever since his appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. However, it seems as though Snake's butt keeps getting regularly nerfed whenever he pops up in a new title or movie. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sanded down Snake's cheeks to disappointing levels, but Fortnite seems to have made it vanish entirely.
Understandably, Metal Gear fans are completely distraught at Snake's new lack of cake, joining characters such as Omni-Man who are also running around in skin-tight suits without a single piece of cake between them. For whatever reason, this was a deliberate attack on Snake's posterior, which is cruel given that he didn't have much of a butt to begin with after the Smash Bros. Ultimate days.
