Team GO Rocket looks set to frustrate players once again in 2024, with their three Leaders, including Arlo, returning for Trainers to fight in this January. Arlo, along with fellow Leaders Cliff and Sierra, provides a much tougher test than regular grunts with higher CP Pokémon that can quickly wipe out unprepared Trainers.
It is worthwhile to try and take down the three leaders, including Arlo, as it will offer a rare opportunity for you to catch a strong Shadow Pokémon. It is also required if you are looking to face off against the strongest AI opponent in the game Team GO Rocket Boss Giovanni.
Arlo has made no changes to his team since December 2023 with the same Pokémon at his disposal in. The Leader will always start off the battle with Generation 1, Grass- and Poison-type Bellsprout. His second Pokémon will be one out of three at random of Psychic-type Alakazam, Ghost-type Mismagius, or Water- and Dark-type Sharpedo.
He will again select one of three Pokémon for his final option, but all provide a challenge. It will be either Normal-type Snorlax, Bug- and Steel-type Scizor or Electric- and Steel-type Magnezone.
