Fortnite players have successfully broken Pandora's Box, dealing five trillion damage to it in under 24 hours. Now that it's opened, a hellish tornado has been released, revealing what was inside the box this whole time.
The situation is still unfolding, as players who had logged in over the weekend to take part in the efforts to open Pandora's Box are now watching this huge teaser for the next season. As the inclusion of Pandora's Box suggests, Chapter Five, Season Two will likely revolve around Greek mythology, so this is probably just the beginning.
This promo for the next season was wrapped up in mystery, seeing players team up to deal as much damage to the box as they could over the weekend. While five trillion is an absurd amount of damage to deal, it didn't take players long at all, as it seems many were eager to see what's inside the box.
Unsurprisingly, fans are patting themselves on the back for pulling this off so quickly, especially as some players were up all night chipping away at the box and its chains. That's a hell of a lot of dedication, but it's certainly paid off, as it made the job a lot easier for everyone logging in to help out on Sunday.
This is just the latest tease that the next Fortnite season will revolve around Greek mythology. Locations added in the Chapter 5 map like Ruined Reels fit in with this theme, and players have found statues that resemble Greek gods. Now with Pandora's Box opened, it looks like this theme will be officially confirmed very soon, although we certainly have enough clues to confidently predict that this is what Season 2 will centre around.
We'll have to wait for any other developments, but you can log into Fortnite right now to see it all going down for yourself. The next season is expected to start this week, in any case, so we can expect this teaser to amount to something much more very soon.
