Dragon's Dogma 2's pawns are so eager to help the Arisen that they can even catch you if you fall from the sky. Would love to know what their spines are made of.
Just like the first game, one of the most interesting parts of Dragon's Dogma 2 is its Pawn system, which lets you create your own companion (as well as hire pawns that your friends and other online players have made) to dutifully help you as you adventure across the lands. Pawns are helpful in many different ways, from pointing out areas of interest to letting you chuck them across gaps to reach items.
Not only do Pawns put up with being used as human darts, but they're also happy to return the favour by catching you if you fall off a platform. If you're playing Dragon's Dogma 2, you've likely seen this happen if you've jumped off a ladder or fallen off a surface while trying to climb up a mountainside.
As it turns out, though, Pawns won't just save you from falling if you take a little tumble off a cliff - they'll actually manage to catch you no matter how high up in the air you are. This was perfectly demonstrated by Twitter user Yautrek, who shared a clip of their Arisen riding on the back of a griffin and getting carried up incredibly high into the air.

As shown in the clip above, a bomb detonating sends the Arisen flying and causes them to fall towards the ground with aught but death in sight.
Funnily enough, it seems that the Pawn who caught Yautrek is also the one that caused them to fall, as only Archers have the ability to plant and detonate bombs. Oops?
Most players would probably be preparing their Wakestone by now, but Yautrek got incredibly lucky as one of their Pawns actually managed to catch them before they hit the ground. This proves that, no matter how far you fall in Dragon's Dogma 2, a Pawn will be able to catch
